2016 WRX in the background, driven by a cook. It sounds good. I want one.

oh fuck that a trek super fly? I really really wanted one of those when I noticed it had the same color scheme as my Fuel EX 8

2012 trek rumblefish pro, it has more travel than the superfly. It’s a fucking tank.

wish I could justify it, but I hardly touched ANY of my bicycles in the past 3 years (found the motorized version much much faster)

That wrx has a cute little lip spoiler, I kinda like it. Bike is a trek rumblefish pro.

Yes alloy frame, I’m saving my pennies for a new dualy next spring. I want a 1x11 drive train and a carbon frame. That trek was top of the line shit in it’s day, now it feels a bit old and dated. I still ride it hard though.

We don’t want any hecklers around here.

It’s actually a Bantam. I was going to get a Heckler but they apparently were completely out of stock everywhere and I ended up with a killer deal on this one with better components. I love it

I know some dudes who rock those, considering it’s a single piviot it’s probably still one of the best all mtn bikes on the market.

I'm fairly new to mtn biking but that was a huge plus for me. Very minimal maintenance and nothing proprietary. I had an old stumpjumper and the rear linkage snapped. They don't make that part anymore, bike is essentially useless.

I’m stuck with bike on Mazda, fortunately the mazda is probably the most reliable car I’ve ever had. It will still be going when that white WRX has a slipping clutch and is burning oil like Halliburton.

Bike on Mazda (20 years old, 269,000 miles, still running).

What if I told you that you can bike in the rain?
I may need to hose it off tomorrow.

That’s what I ended up doing, actually twice because the first ride didn’t go well for the only guy who showed up for the group ride. Then I was like I need to take some sweet jumps so I did a lap at spencer.

I’m loving the 1x11 on mine. It’s so nice not having to deal with a front derailleur, plus the bike is super quiet. After a month I did get the chainring swapped from a 32T to a 28T though. The 32T worked fine, but there were times I was wishing for another gear or two on climbs and I’ve never run out of top end speed on the trails. With the smaller chainring I finally topped out a bike, it was on a downhill bit of highway transiting back from the trails and there was about a 20 yard stretch where the bike was going fast enough I could have used one more gear.

I was the only guy who showed up for our weekly group ride last night. Usually there are a couple other guys, but everyone claimed they were busy.
